I have been cooking since I can remember, going to cooking classes since the age of 8 and learning from my mother, my earliest memories of her, were, as child I would kneel on a chair at the kitchen counter watching her prepare dishes for the family and her clients. My mother also had a catering business which she ran for almost 20 years. When we went to restaurants the critic came out in me asking questions like “how could I improve on this?” or “how could I re-create this?”. This is when I knew I had a passion for food and wanted to make it not only my hobby, but a career. It’s not every day that you find a job that ticks all the boxes.
I have been in the catering industry for over 15 years and have worked in various areas of the industry, including three seasons as a chalet girl in France and cooking for a variety of guests, and also working in the demanding environment of restaurants and boutique hotels around the world. I have also taught in cookery schools and learnt so much from them in many different ways.
I pull from my experiences of working with different cultures and different people’s needs and pride myself on the fact that what I do is unique. I must be doing something right as I have always had repeat custom! All the ingredients I use are fresh and everything I prepare is homemade and I really put my heart and soul into every dish. Even my staff tell me my work ethic is contagious, which is wonderful because they do their best for not only my business but for me.
